Before using a Base price
- Match Victor Wembanyama, Panini Prizm and card #136 on both sides.
- Compare the card image and finish with a confirmed Base example; check whether the listing describes a photo variation.
- Keep Silver, patterned parallels and numbered cards outside the Base comparison group.
Some catalogs use “2023” while listings use the season “2023–24.” Match the issue, image, number and finish rather than treating the wording alone as a different card.
Same player and number, separate markets
| Version | Identity checkpoint | Compare separately from |
|---|---|---|
| Base | Ordinary issue; confirm image and finish | Silver and Rookie Variations #136 |
| Silver | Named Silver parallel; no numbered run established here | Base, Ice and other patterned parallels |
| Blue Seismic /99 | Blue Seismic pattern plus /99 stamp | Blue /199, Blue Ice /125 and Purple /99 |
Why a shiny Base card can lead to the wrong price
Prizm is a chromium-style product. The word Prizm in a listing can name the product without identifying a particular parallel. A bright border or a reflective photograph therefore does not settle the Base-versus-Silver question.
Ask for a front and back photograph and an angled view when the finish is unclear. Treat an ambiguous listing as unresolved rather than using its price in the Base group.
The #136 photo-variation trap
The product checklist also lists Wembanyama under Rookie Variations with number 136. Matching only the player and card number can therefore join two different issues. Compare the photograph and the listing’s full issue description.
A slab label should be checked against its certification record and the card inside. A seller’s shortened title is a starting point, not the final identity check.
Raw Base and PSA 10 answer different questions
Start with raw sales if your copy is unslabbed. Selecting PSA 10 for an ungraded card answers what a different, already graded item sold for; it does not establish the likely grade or net proceeds of yours.
For a slabbed copy, match the grading company, service and numeric grade. Review corners, surface and centering in listing photographs when comparing raw cards.
Compare Base sales
The form starts with this version’s details. Choose your copy’s condition, build the searches, then confirm the catalog card and exact version. Check every source listing’s photos. Catalog matching does not authenticate your copy.
Review the example card details above, then build your sold-comp searches.
Sales are provider-reported USD observations. Shipping and buyer’s premium treatment may be unknown. At least three eligible observations are required for a range. Read the comparison method →
Is every silver-looking Wembanyama Prizm #136 a Silver parallel?
No. Confirm the named parallel using the finish, the reverse and a reliable reference. The product name and a reflective photograph alone do not identify Silver.
Wembanyama Prizm #136 Base raw candidates
Titles were filtered for Base and apparent raw copies; ambiguous versions and recognized grading labels were omitted. Photos still need your review. The seller’s title is not an identity check. Listing prices are not sold comps or an appraisal for this page’s version.
